How does this work?

I provide an in-depth consultation to figure out what your website needs to be prettier, faster, safer, and more accessible. I also offer a monthly subscription plan for website support and maintenance services. You’ll be billed monthly and can cancel at any time.

Do I need a consultation? Can you just do one little thing for me?

Sure! I can update or fix anything you need. I also offer design, development, and copy writing.

Can you design a new website for me?

Of course! I mainly focus on improving and maintaining existing sites, but I can build something new or redesign your site if you need it. Send me some details!

Can you help me with my Shopify site?

I specialize in WordPress, but yes, I can help you with Shopify, Squarespace, or whatever platform or tech stack is used. I’m fluent in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, and more languages than you probably need. Except French. I’m still working on that one.

How long will it take to get help when I need it?

During office hours (Mon-Fri, 9 AM – 5 PM CST), I typically respond within minutes. Outside office hours, I typically respond within 12-14 hours, depending on the level of urgency. I also make myself available on nights and weekends in certain pre-arranged situations.

What if my website goes down and it’s a weekend or late at night?

I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve seen that happen. However, if you do need to hit the big red emergency button, we can make arrangements once you become a client. If your site is not functioning for some reason, I’ll work with you until it’s restored.

I’m in Australia/Dubai/London/Las Vegas/Tromsø/Gulfport, Mississippi. Can you still help me?

Yes, indeedy. I work with people all over the globe. Sometimes that means syncing up our hours or communicating asynchronously, but I can help you wherever you’re located.

Can I still edit my own site, or do you have to handle everything?

You still retain full admin status on your website, if you prefer. It’s 100% your site. Post to your blog, create new pages, change the navigation, whatever you like.

Do I have to give you all my usernames and passwords? Is that safe?

Actually, I prefer that we create separate user accounts for me. It’s much more secure. However, there may be some situations where you’ll need to provide an existing login. I have a secure, encrypted method for sharing that information.

Can you post to my blog for me?

Yes! That’s a popular add-on, and I provide the service at varying frequency levels. Send me the content, I’ll upload and format it for you.

Someone told me they could get me to rank #1 in Google in a few days. Can you do that?

No. In fact, no one can reliably fulfill that promise. It takes time, consistency across multiple channels, and a full understanding of how SEO really works — and the rules are changing all the time. The only promise I make in regards to SEO is that I’ll help you rank better.

What it will cost?

Basic service plans start at just $45 per month. I calculate your needed add-on services and come up with a total monthly package rate just for you, based on the information you give me about your site and your goals. Everyone is different. For custom design or development, describe what you need and I’ll get you a quote.
